Born in Itamarandiba, a little town in Minas Gerais state, he came to Diamantina with his family to study. When he was 18 years old, he moved to Belo Horizonte and started working in a restaurant business. There he stayed until the year 2000, when he returned to Diamantina to work in the family's restaurant that he now runs and is called "Caipirão".
The Hotel Estância do Salitre entered his life later on and was an old dream of his father. The plan of building accommodation in his old land had been discussed many times, but at that point he couldn't afford it. Sandro made it possible and now he puts all his effort into making it happen.
He is committed to providing a comfortable stay for his guests, where the ambiance is always informal and relaxed. With a talkative personality, he enjoys every guest in a different way, spending hours debating with them about several subjects.
