Pousada Estalagem was one of the first guesthouses in town; and was converted into traveller accommodation about ten years ago.
The two-storey guesthouse consists of nine rooms and an outdoor area with tables and a living room. A delicious breakfast is served at the outdoor sitting area comprising fresh local products brought from the owner's farm.
Pousada Estalagem is located next to the Mercês Church and is about a five minute walk from Santo Antônio Church. Located near by are some traditional restaurants serving mineiros cuisine and such facilities as bars and a book store. The city's commercial centre is very close too.
The guesthouse offers free parking space and a shared kitchen where guests can keep their own stocks of food if they wish. There is also a common outdoor area with an antique wood stove, tables and chairs.

Late check-out after 12:00 pm is subject to accommodation availability and can be negotiated with the hosts. Guests who wish to stay longer or leave their luggage at the accommodation may negotiate this with the hosts directly.
Children less than 10 years of age staying in the parents’ room stay for free. Children from 10 to 15 years of age get a 30 % discount. Children over the age of 15 are charged the adult rate.
Booking is confirmed by a deposit of 50 % of the total booking value. For cancellations made 12 hours or more before arrival date, there will be a refund of 50 % of the deposit fee. In case of no show, the deposit fee is not refundable but can be used as credit for a different booking date.
Prices are subject to change. For Vesperata, holidays and the Carnival season, different prices may apply. Early check-in will depend on availability.
