Pousada Estalagem

The owner and the guesthouse's manager, Ricardo Maia, has an Economics degree; and about ten years ago he decided to convert his own house into a guesthouse. He noticed, at that time, that Diamantina was short of places where visitors could stay that provided personalised, warm service.

Having provided accommodation services for travellers for more than ten years now, he believes he has developed very specific and traditional skills which have created a loyal customer base for his business. He also owns a farm next to Diamantina from where he brings fresh products to be served at breakfast. His intention is to involve all his family in his guesthouse business.
