Ana Maria Macedo

Twenty years ago, Ana Maria Macedo decided to establish one of the first guesthouses in town. She has lived in Diamantina for about forty years. Her experience with providing accommodation services started with student groups staying at her house, as the city at that time didn't have any hotels or guesthouses. 

Nowadays, the residence, adapted into a guesthouse, is one of the oldest in Diamantina and the owner takes great pleasure in receiving guests from all over the world. The property name, Nha Mocinha, is the owner's nickname. 

In her free time, she works as a volunteer at the Nossa Senhora da Saude Hospital and Casa da Amizade; and is also a Rotarian.
